Launching an author’s website to promote leadership book
An executive leadership guru with more than 25 years of experience, Debi Brown has achieved far-reaching success at the highest levels of banking technology and operation. A champion of empathetic, integrity-focused management, she is the author of "It’s All in the Delivery: How to Move Mountains without Crushing the Villagers."
With an expertly crafted book under her belt, Debi approached us to create a digital destination to share her story, promote her leadership development program, as well as integrate e-commerce for book sales. As we delved into this project, we recognized the importance of encapsulating the essence of Debi's message and personality, and translating that into a compelling visual experience for her audience.
With only a few brand elements in place, our work began with expanding on those elements to create a bespoke brand identity that would be used to guide marketing execution. The brand identity needed to represent Debi Brown's persona while also resonating with her target audience of business leaders and corporate teams.
Aiming to evoke warmth, sophistication, and a sense of wonder, we selected colours, typography, and imagery, that best reflect her core values. Every design decision was carefully considered to ensure coherence and alignment with the author's overarching message of empathetic leadership.
With a visual aesthetic in place, we transitioned to creating a one-page website. This included content and SEO planning, wireframes, high-fidelity designs and custom Wordpress development with e-commerce integration. Hands-on CMS training ensured Debi and her team could update content, and manage program applicants and fulfillment of orders with ease.
