Designing an empathetic brand for a trusted law firm
Battaglia Law
Founded by Melanie Battaglia, Battaglia Law is a firm that helps clients navigate complex matters related to family law, education and guardianship with empathy. With more than 20 years of combined experience and an expertise in disability related issues, it was important that the firm’s brand and website convey accessibility, strength and trust.
Our initial discovery session was both collaborative and insightful. Together we uncovered what makes Battaglia Law unique, and how Melanie wanted her firm’s brand identity to differentiate itself. This helped shape the initial creative direction which was visualized with a mood board that included colour palette ideas, graphic elements and imagery inspiration. Once finalized, we began ideating concepts.
Battaglia Law
Following our 4-week iterative process for developing a new brand, we crafted the definitive identity for Battaglia Law which was bold and dynamic yet approachable. The colour palette of cool blue and blush tones are accented by striking black and white imagery signifying strength and expertise. Our delivery included the brand's distinct voice, logo suite, typographic system, layout guidelines and business collateral.
With the brand identity in place, we carefully planned the Battaglia Law website beginning with a detailed sitemap, content plan and SEO strategy. The planning phase guided our web design process, where we created beautifully simple layouts for content blocks, UI components, and polished screens for desktop and mobile.
With a warming yet dynamic visual aesthetic, the Battaglia Law brand and website communicates expertise and empathy which are essential in helping clients feel at ease when faced with complex legal matters.
